Mollie Coole of Hythe, Southampton received a much-needed system upgrade due to a dated back boiler and poorly installed radiators. Thanks to Eddie Irons and a number of local businesses banding together, this charity project led to an incredible donation of £5,400 for Oakhaven Hospice.
The ATAG Economiser is one of the most efficient and reliable boilers in Europe which was an important factor for Eddie Irons when he was considering which boiler to use for the project. The compact design and the fact that there is an instant output of hot water were other key factors in his decision. The system is an environmentally friendlier boiler, emitting some of the lowest NOx levels when compared to similar products on the market. It is also operationally quiet, having recently received quiet mark certification
ATAG Heating Technology and E Irons Gas Plumbing and Heating were not the only businesses in the community to step up on this project. Jim Greave from Ultimate Plumbing, our very own Sang Duong and Lambertlux Electrical Solutions all stopped by the project to lend a helping hand with the installation, making this a true team effort.
Eddie became involved with this particular charity as it has helped friends and their parents and kids. It is his way of saying thank you. This is an environment where people need support, compassion, and understanding. It's important for the people helping the critically ill to have the tools and support they need to take care of them.
Eddie has committed to doing another charity installation next year, as long as business remains stable. He's hoping to continue this, making it a tradition to do one charity install every year for as long as he can.
Eddie says, "It's important to give back whenever you can. Support your community."
It always feels good to help a person or people in need, and when you have such an important part of your community looking for assistance, it's amazing to see other businesses step in to help out. This is the true meaning of community.
